Kids’ Birthday Party Tips
Wednesday, 15 October 2008
If you have a birthday party to host, look no further for tips to keep the little ones amused.
• Choose a theme (superheroes, fairies, dinosaurs) and incorporate that theme into everything from the games to the table setting.
• A simple but delicious cake can be made by shaping and icing store-bought sponge. A selection of lollies will provide yummy decorations.
• Have some games up your sleeve. Make a pinjata, pass the parcel, or pin the tail on the donkey.
• If in doubt, ring in a little outside help – a clown or jumping castle. Alternatively, host the party at a nearby playground.
• Short is sweet – a couple if hours is all you’ll need to have everyone fed and entertained.

Party Theme Ideas
Stuck on good party theme ideas? Here are a few that will set you out from the crowd at your next party.
Arabian Nights
If you're in the mood for fabulous colour and festive food then this is the theme for you. You can easily create this party theme with pillows, colourful fabrics, rugs and candles. Lots of red and gold. Why not hire a belly dancer for entertainment to really get your party guests in the mood.
Bad Taste Party
Embrace bad style and break all the fashion rules. Without the pressure to impress, this theme will always get a great laugh and really brings the party crowd together. Mix and match. Put on that outfit that you vowed never to wear again.
Casino Night
Throw your own casino night party! Go underground by dimming the lighting with lamps and playing soft jazz music or turn the lights right up for the full casino effect.
Hawaiian
Aloha… this classic theme is always great because of the colour it brings. Almost everyone has a relative with an embarrassing Hawaiian shirt in their wardrobe and girls, with a touch of spray tan, a lai and a sexy sarong you too can look like a Hawaiian Goddess. Why not consider putting a modern spin on this theme with some cheeky cocktails.
Pyjama party
A Pyjama party is perfect for those who want to spend a comfy night in with friends. Play games, gossip, and watch a few movies over dinner or schedule in line with a great TV program like an awards night. Kids love pyjama parties as well.Labels: Hawaiian party tips, party theme, Party Theme ideas, party tips, Pyjama party Tips, theme tips
